Must-warmer is a flexible heating cord used in vinification to catalyse alcoolic working when temperature of vintage-season is rather cold, then malolactic working.
There are 2 models of must-warmers :
CHM070TI 70 W - 230 V CHM500TI 500 W - 230V 70 W must-warmers are mainly used in butts from 200 to 250 l. 500 W must-warmers are used in half hogsheads or tuns from 5 to 6 hl. For instance, in a tun of 80 to 100 hl, you have to use six 500 W must-warmers (the more volume is huge, the less thermal losses are high). Huge length of must-warmers (10 m) enables a soft heat wasting (no crystallization) and a static use (there is no need to shake it).
